Boston Partners Group has expanded its position in Wintrust Financial Company.

The Boston Partners' most recent filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission discloses that the investment company grew its ownership of Wintrust Financial Co shares by 35.8% during the third quarter.

Wintrust Financial Corp., a holding company that owns a bank, offers a variety of banking and financial services to its customers. The company's three operating segments are community banking, specialized finance, and wealth management. In addition to commercial and community banking services, customers who qualify for community banking are also eligible for personal banking services.

The corporation acquired a total of 485,624 shares of the bank's stock after acquiring an additional 128,122 shares over the relevant period.

According to their most recent SEC filing, Boston Partners held 0.80% of Wintrust Financial, worth $40.503 million at the time.

In the past several months, a significant increase in the total number of WTFC shares held by institutional investors has occurred.

Throughout the first three months of 2018, HighTower Advisors LLC increased its own holdings of Wintrust Financial shares by 3.9%.

In addition, the company recently declared a quarterly dividend, which is set to be distributed on February 23. On February 9, shareholders of record will be entitled to receive the dividend payment of $0.40 per share, which will be issued to them. The day of February 8, a Wednesday will no longer contribute toward the accumulation of dividends.

This modification will become effective the following day. Based on the fact that Wintrust Financial's most recent quarterly dividend was $0.34, we can conclude that this indicates an increase.

Raymond James said investors should "highly buy" the shares despite the development. Previously, StockNews.com had given Wintrust Financial a "buy" recommendation, but in a report issued on November 19, 2018, the rating for Wintrust Financial was modified to "hold."

In a report on October 20, Stephens raised their price objective on Wintrust Financial shares from $107.00 to $115.00 and rated the stock "overweight." Two analysts have assigned the stock a recommendation of "hold," eight analysts have assigned the stock a one of "buy," and one analyst has awarded the stock a rating of "strong buy."

According to Trade Algo, the current average price objective per share for Wintrust Financial is $108.70.

"Moderate Buy" is the current consensus rating for the company.
